There is no definition of love because the word love can mean many different things for many different people. Sex, on the other hand, is a biological event. Although there are different types of sex, most sexual acts have certain things in common. Sex may or may not include penetration. The Differences between Love and SexLove is a (emotional) feeling. There is no exact definition of "right" love for all. Love implies feelings of romance and/or attraction. Sex is an event or act (physical). There are different types of sex, but all kinds of sex have some things in common. It can happen between a man and a woman, between two women, between two men, or by oneself (masturbation). Ways to Express Sexless Love There are countless non-sexual ways to show someone you love them. You can show a person who cares about them spending time with them. Go to the movies. Or just wait and talk. If you're with someone you really like, then anything can be fun. There are also ways to feel physically close without having sex. These include everything from kissing and hugging to touching and petting. Just remember that if you're not careful, these activities can lead to sex. Plan beforehand to what extent you want to go, and adhere to your limits. It can be hard to say "no" and mean it when things get hot and heavy. But every time we give it away where there is no true love, commitment and intimacy, our ability to have intimacy is reduced. Sex was meant to unite two people in the soul, heart, emotions and mind. It is a wonderful, supernatural gift from our Creator. So when something so holy is used slightly, it causes pain and chaos. In Ephesians 5:1-4, the Apostle Paul gives us information that is the clearest and most profound message about what God really thinks about sex and love. Follow the example of God, therefore, as beloved children and walk in the way of love as Christ loved us... What does "walk in the path of love" mean? When we walk in love means that we refuse to take, exploit, lower, disappoint, or replace sexual activity with genuine love, and authentic intimacy. It means we're giving, caring and disinterested. It also means that we live a sexually pure lifestyle. But among you there must not even be an indication of sexual immorality, nor of any kind of impurity, nor of greed, for these are impropriety to the holy people of God. There should also be no obscenity, silly talk or silly jokes, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. God is saying, "Do not allow sexual immorality, impurity, greed and obscenity in your speech and in your thoughts. And do not involve yourself in a relationship, an activity, not even in a place that takes you there." Why does God sound so black and white when it comes to sex? Because our Creator knows that sexual impurity in our mind, speech, body, and behavior destroys relationships. God wants us to be pure because every time we begin to fulfill sexual satisfaction – even mentally – apart from a man and a woman in commitment, we reduce our ability to love and intimacy. Love is about commitment. And sex, within the limits of marriage, in the right way, with the right person, is one of God's greatest gifts. God's heart is saying, "You are my son. I got better. I've got deeper. I got richer. Do not accept anything less!"
